For Music Lovers by Music Lovers
It is said that while you may not remember a word, a song will stay with you for a lifetime. I remember when I first heard The Supremes sing, 'You Can't Hurry Love'. I was spellbound that Sunday afternoon listening to the 'Ferguson' gram in my mother's sitting room. The haunting, repeated melodies grabbed me and like any other good song it was written with a hook that demanded attention. Twenty-six years ago I sang a song at the North England Conference Camp Meeting. People who were there still talk about it today. They remember exactly what they were doing and what was happening in their lives at the time. That night, my life was changed and although a lot of water has flowed under the bridge, I was never the same again.
This devotional is a compilation of the thoughts of people who are passionate about music. It tells their stories about songs which have has a profound effect on their lives.
